Jason Harrigan is entering his 1st year at the helm of the St. Joe's Prep Men's Basketball Program but has been heavily involved teaching and coaching in the Greater Philadelphia Area basketball scene over the past 10 years. A South Jersey native (Willingboro, NJ), Coach Harrigan attended Burlington City High School and continued his education at Florida A&M University where he earned a degree in finance. Harrigan began his coaching career at Delaware Valley Charter (2010) and led the program to a Division Championship (2013) along with consecutive state playoff appearances. The pinnacle of his coaching tenure at "Del Val Charter" came in 2016 when he led the program to a Philadelphia Public League Championship by defeating defending state champion Constitution High School. He immediately followed that win with a victory against Philadelphia Catholic League powerhouse Neumann Goretti in the AAA City Championship game. The program's success during the 2016 season earned Harrigan "Coach of the Year' honors from several publication including Southeastern Pennsylvania Coach of the Year (Philadelphia Inquirer). Harrigan would then move on to coach for two seasons at Cardinal O'Hara High School where he led the program to their first PCL opening round playoff victory in several years. Coach Harrigan then returned home to his South Jersey roots for two seasons and assisted the Camden High School program that finished the 2019-20 season ranked #15 in the country (Max Preps) and simultaneously served as the Head Coach of the Team Final 2023 Nike EYBL program. Coach Harrigan is excited for the opportunity to lead the basketball program and add value to the already flourishing St. Joe's Prep community. "The Prep is a great institution that challenges young men to achieve academic and athletic excellence. My staff and I plan to create an elite basketball experience for these young men and bring St. Joe's Prep basketball to the forefront of high school athletics in this area and beyond.
