Joseph Coyle has been a member of the English Department for 21 years. He teaches Honors freshman and seniors at the Prep. Coach Coyle is entering his 4th year as the head coach of the Prep Soccer program. He has led the team to deep playoff runs every year, has developed multiple All Catholics every season, and has helped over a dozen players continue their soccer careers by playing in college. Before taking over the Prep program, he was the head coach of the Episcopal Academy girls team where he won back-to-back InterAc titles, the first in the program's history. Coach Coyle has won numerous awards such as Southeastern PA Coaches Association Coach of the Year, Philadelphia Inquirer Coach of the Year, and Main Line Coach of the Year. His wife Shannon and their three children (Griffin, Lyla, and Genevieve) are huge supporters of the team and his son Griffin will be Prep class of 2026 and definitely a future Prep Soccer player.
