Pre-8th Grade Summer Enrichment Program

What?…
The Pre-8th Grade Program is a five-week summer program designed  for students who have completed seventh grade. It includes computer education, creative writing, and algebra, and it is complemented by a program of sports including basketball, soccer, swimming, ping-pong, volleyball, and wiffle ball.

 

Where?…
The program takes place at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School located at 18th Street and Girard Avenue in North-Central Philadelphia. Students are bused from Philadelphia and its surrounding counties. The instructors are Prep faculty and the building is air-conditioned.

 

When?…
Monday through Friday, June 23 to July 23, 8:45am to 1:00pm.
Parent-Teacher Conferences – Thursday, July 24

 

Who?…
Boys and girls who have completed seventh grade are eligible.
The maximum number of participants is 500.

 

How?…
Please complete the application and forward it along with a $150.00 deposit to reserve a place. Deposits are non-refundable after March 3, 2008 and the balance is due prior to the start of the program.  Places fill quickly.  Forward application as soon as possible.

Practice Test…
Seventh grade boys and girls may take the 7th Grade Practice Test on Saturday, April 12, 8:30am to 11:30am.  The test administered is the H.S.P.T. (High School Placement Test).
